Medical Glue Information.

You have been treated with Medical Glue. You have had a thorough examination and are now considered fit to be discharged. The following instructions will aid your recovery.

Glue Information

Liqui-Band topical skin adhesive has been applied to close your wound.

The following points will help you care for your wound over the next few days:

Your wound will have the appearance of a dry scab and should be treated as such – on no account should you pick this off your wound, it will flake off naturally as healing takes place.
Your wound is water resistant but should be kept clean and dry. Light showering is permitted and the wound should be patted dry. Do not immerse your wound in water for long periods of time.
Do not apply any medications, creams or ointments to the wound.
Avoid extreme physical activity that might dislodge or impact the wound surface.

If the appearance of your wound changes or becomes painful or if you have any concerns about your wound you should seek medical advice.
