Here you will be assessed by a Plastic Surgeon and a treatment plan will be discussed with you. This may include surgery under a general anaesthetic so please arrange for someone to take you home. Please do not have anything to eat after 3 am on the day of your appointment but you may drink water until 7 am.

We will endeavour to perform your operation on the same day as your appointment, however, there are limited spaces on the theatre lists. You may need to return at a later date when a theatre slot is available or be asked to stay in hospital so please bring an overnight bag in preparation.

Please note you will need to bring the following items with you:

A copy of your Emergency Department referral letter
Copies of any X-rays you may have
All medication you are taking including any inhalers

Directions to Royal Preston Hospital

By car:

From the M6 motorway

Junction 32 off the M6.

Turn left off the slip road onto the A6 Garstang Road, heading towards Preston. At the second major set of traffic lights turn left into Sharoe Green Lane. The main entrance to the Royal Preston Hospital is 200 yards on the right.

Limited parking is available on site.

By bus:

Preston Bus Ltd. operates services from the main Preston Bus Station to the Royal Preston Hospital. Services required are numbers 7/19/22/23/123.
