You may wish to take pain relief following your attendance in the Emergency Services. The following instructions will aid your recovery.
You may wish to take pain relief following your attendance in the Emergency Services.
We suggest the following:
paracetamol 500 mg – 2 tablets four times per day (maximum 8 tablets per day).
and
ibuprofen 200 mg – 2 tablet three times daily.
Both are available from chemists without a prescription. Paracetamol and ibuprofen may be taken together if pain is severe.
You should:
- Follow the suggested dosage.
You should not:
- Continue to take ibuprofen if you have had stomach ulcers in the past, and you begin to experience indigestion.
- Take ibuprofen if you are allergic to aspirin.
- Continue to take ibuprofen if you suffer from asthma and your symptoms (wheezing, breathlessness) worsen.
