We are open 7 days a week
08.30 am–10.30 pm
This unit is run by nurse and paramedic practitioners who can assess, treat and discharge patients – referring to your own GP or other hospitals if necessary. There is no doctor on site.
The X-ray is available from 9 to 5 Monday to Friday, but is closed at weekends and bank holidays.
If you have an on-going medical problem, you will be referred to your own GP. Similarly if you need a repeat prescription, you will be referred to your own GP.
Dental problems should always be referred to your own dentist, as we have no dental facilities at this hospital.
Patients are seen in order of priority, not on the time of attendance.
Waiting times are kept to a minimum, but due to the nature of the department they are not always predictable and your patience is therefore appreciated.
