We provide assessment and treatment for minor injuries or illnesses that are urgent but not life threatening. We are a walk-in centre but if you contact NHS 111 they will be able to give you an appointment to be seen by either a doctor or an urgent care practitioner. If you are in doubt as to whether the UTC is the right place for you to be seen, please call 111.
We provide an assessment and treatment of patients who require urgent care to improve their symptoms, however an onward referral may be needed we may refer you to A&E, a specialist team or follow-up with your GP. Your GP will be asked to follow-up on any diagnostic tests we run as part of your assessment and this is something we will communicate with them.
There are other healthcare services co-located within the Lewes Victoria Hospital including X-Ray Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, provided by Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.
On arrival you will be assessed and asked a range of questions are asked to aid clinical management and prioritisation to ensure patients with the highest needs are seen first.
